What's New
- Added load combinations to the 'Design Forces' page: combination equations are rows you switch on or off in place, and every combination follows your safety class, load categories, and National Annex.
- Added restraint crack width checks for imposed deformation (EN 1992-3 Annex M), covering end restraint, edge restraint, and a combined 'Edge + end' envelope, each evaluated for early-age and long-term cracking.
- Added a longitudinal chord adequacy check (6.2.3(7)), off by default and enabled per section from the check's cogwheel menu.
Improvements
- The Settings page is reorganised into 'This project' and 'This computer', so each setting says where it is saved.
- Serviceability checks and crack width are now computed for prestressed sections under biaxial loads on symmetric sections, instead of being reported as not evaluated.
- A failing shear check now names the mechanism that limits the capacity: the concrete alone (\(V_{Rd,c}\)), stirrup yield (\(V_{Rd,s}\)), or strut crushing (\(V_{Rd,max}\)).
- The minimum reinforcement for crack control (7.3.2) end-restraint arm now reduces the steel stress to the crack-width-limited value when a maximum crack width applies.
- Material properties tables now cite the standard each grade comes from.
- Improvements to the user interface across the 'Design Forces' page, the analysis charts, and the material panels.
Bug Fixes
- Corrected several prestress calculations: the design stress-strain curve for prestressing steel (Figure 3.10), the concrete strain at a bonded tendon at the ultimate limit state (6.1(2)P), the initial stress used for long-term relaxation of pre-tensioned members (3.3.2(7)), and the cement class reaching the loss calculation. Bending capacities and effective prestress of affected sections move slightly.
- Fixed an issue where a prestressed section could miss a serviceability verdict: the decompression check was missing in exposure class XC2, XC3 and XC4 (Table 7.1N), and a case near decompression could be skipped and still read as a Pass.
- Fixed an issue where slab prestress layers accepted a depth outside the concrete or a zero strand spacing or area.
- Fixed an issue where changing the National Annex reset the safety class set on the 'Load combinations' page.
- Fixed an issue where the age exponent in the tensile strength development \(f_{ctm}(t)\) was reversed.
- Fixed an issue where the long-term edge-restraint crack width used the early-age autogenous shrinkage, understating the width by about 4%.
- Fixed an issue where the minimum reinforcement for crack control (7.3.2) used the gross section area for \(A_{ct}\) instead of the tension-zone area.
- Fixed an issue where the Norwegian accidental load combination used the wrong annex's factors.
- Fixed an issue where a section under net compression hid the minimum reinforcement row instead of reporting 0%.
- General stability improvements.
