What's New
- Added a session history to the Undo and Redo buttons: every edit is named, and you can jump back or forward to any point in the session.
- Added the ability to import a CAD drawing as a cross-section.
- Added support for hollow core slabs, including the Swedish Contiga and Starka ranges with the strand pattern, self-weight and section properties their producers publish.
- Results now checks the clear spacing between pre-tensioned strands and between ducts (8.10.1.2, 8.10.1.3).
Improvements
- Improvements to the user interface across reinforcement, materials and loads.
- The edit history list can now be opened from the keyboard, through the command palette or the 'Edit' menu.
- Improvements to the user interface across 'Results', 'Shear Reinforcement', and the load case views.
- Slab reinforcement layers are now analysed as the individual bars they are drawn as, rather than as a single lumped area at mid-width. This does not change any capacity result.
- Improvements to the user interface across slab reinforcement and prestress.
- Each cross-section type now keeps its own reinforcement: switch type and switch back, and the bars and stirrup cage you had are restored.
- The 'Shear' page grade picker now offers the same material library actions as the other pages, including creating and removing custom grades.
- Bar diameter fields now offer the standard diameters in a dropdown, and still accept any diameter you type.
- Messages that refuse a reinforcement layout now name the layer or bar and its depth.
- The longitudinal tension chord check (6.2.3(7)) now reports that it is not yet implemented for bending about a skew axis.
- 'Results' now says why a check could not be fully evaluated, instead of showing it as a 0% utilisation.
- A prestressed slab strip with no reinforcement layers now shows its cover result, instead of reporting the check as having no input.
- A cross-section with strands and no reinforcement bars now reports the reinforcement detailing check and the crack control check (7.3.2) as not yet implemented, instead of not applicable.
- Under a national annex that states no cover requirement for tendons, the cover check now reports that it is not verified, instead of a pass or a fail judged against the reinforcement table.
- Reinforcement Design now sizes bar cover from the link it actually proposes, so lighter layouts that were previously rejected can pass.
- Each tendon now carries its own strand area and initial stress, so a cross-section with tendons stressed differently is analysed as drawn.
- Importing a CAD drawing no longer offers the sheet's own furniture as the cross-section. A box drawn round a caption, and a detail view drawn cut at a dashed line, are now set aside rather than listed first; 'Show every region' still lists them.
- A dashed, hidden or centre line in an imported drawing is no longer read as an edge of the concrete.
- Bars and strands drawn in an imported cross-section are now counted as reinforcement rather than as voids, so the concrete area is no longer understated by their area.
Bug Fixes
- Fixed an issue where the Shear page offered only the standard steel grades, leaving out grades defined in your material library.
- Fixed an issue where the moment capacity and the cracking moment were overstated for bending about a skew axis. Bending about a principal axis is unaffected.
- Fixed an issue where the required cover to a pre-tensioned strand was understated (4.4.1.2).
- Fixed an issue where a pre-tensioned strand that failed its cover check could not be moved, while a reinforcement bar could.
- Fixed an issue where a cross-section with bars of different diameters could be reported as failing its cover check when it was not, because every bar was judged against the largest bar's required cover (4.4.1.2).
- Fixed an issue where the mesh view stayed empty without saying why the cross-section could not be built.
- Fixed an issue where a check that had already proven a failure reported only a warning (7.3.4).
- Fixed an issue where a strand-only cross-section reported no biaxial result and no flexural resistance.
- Fixed an issue where the interaction diagrams and the 3D capacity surface stayed empty for a cross-section reinforced with prestressing strands only, though its capacity was calculated. The moment-curvature curve is still calculated for reinforcement bars only, and now says so.
- Fixed an issue where the compressive limit of the N-M diagram fell below the true squash load above C55, and C90/105 could not be used at all.
- Fixed an issue where the cover shown ignored the clearance a stirrup cage needs at its bends.
- Fixed an issue where the crash recovery window closed itself instead of reporting the error.
- Fixed an issue where a prestressed cross-section with an age at transfer of 28 days or more was analysed on a concrete stronger than its 28 day strength, while its transfer check used the 28 day strength (3.1.2(5)).
- General stability improvements.
